No Tobi? I thought standard treatment for PA was tobi and cipro? I'm concerned that the doctor is not more aggressive in treatment...A drop like he had is not a every day occurrance--I think it should have been a real red flag for that doctor. How long have they been a CF doctor?

Hey Terry,

(I love your blog about Mel's party!!!)

Andrew was home and finished his picc at the end of November. By January he was starting to regress, so our doctor put him on three weeks of TOBI. We finished that two weeks ago...the day we went to clinic. That day she switched him to oral clindamycin, which he is still on.

We go to UNC, which is actually a very good hospital and I feel we have a very good pulmonologist. She told me two weeks ago that she was not going to hesitate to start more ivs if his numbers were not up in a month. But I called clinic this morning and should be getting a call back soon. I'm not waiting another two weeks.

Thank you to everyone who responded and pm'd me. I have some really good questions to ask the doctor.

I don't have anything to add Tonya, but I wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and Andrew. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Tonya,
I want to say that I do hope the doctor does take more action. I remember you posting this last week or so about his PFTs dropping 25 points. I, too, mentioned then I am surprised that he/she didn't be more aggressive. And now hearing he isn't better, I am even more convinced he needs more action!! Also, think about getting those allergies tested
Please keep us posted...I will keep you in my thoughts
