I just recently decided to get a medic alert bracelet. I ust received it today and it is exactly what I wanted except the emblem is a little big because I had to put alot of info on it.
I was told to order one by my Dr's office because of all the problems I have been having and since my seizure happened in public and I was alone with no family or friends around.
There are a few diff ones to choose from and some are really nice. I ended up getting one of the cheapy ones for now but intend on getting a 14k gold one some time soon. For now mine is a gold color bracelet with a gold colored emblem.
It comes with an emergency phone number that emergency workers can call 24hrs a day to get medical info about you and also who your emergency contacts are.
I paid $89.00 and it included a years membership and a bracelet and a card to keep in my wallet. If you want to find out about one for you the website is

I highly reccomend it for the peace of mind!

I got one when I was 22. I needed it because I was in Philadelphia all the time alone and living alone so I was worried if something happened I wouldn't get the medical attention I needed.

That one broke about 2 months ago and I haven't gotten a replacement...they are so expensive now!! I remember only paying like $40 for mine and it was 14k gold but now you can't get one for less than $100!!

I'll have to check out the site Khristina...though I don't want to have to pay a membership...I liked having the medical card in my wallet. I still have it though no one knows to check it haha!

Funny you should ask! Zoe has had one for about 1 year now. I got her the stainless steel one where you can write on both sides. It has her name, cystic fibrosis, meds...., on back has 3 ICE (in case of emergency) numbers, her doctors numbers and her birthdate. I had another cf mom the other day at a CFF fundraiser notice Zoe's, she is going to get one for her daughter now! When it came in the mail, I put it on her wrist, matter of factly told her that it never comes off. She has never touched it!!
I'm glad you got one though, having seizures can be a scary thing, especially for the people around you that have no clue what is going on.

Have a great night,
Jada
