I just found out that I have 2 strins of pseudomonas. The first one has & does respond to the usual rounds of Tobi aerosol, Tobramyacin IV &/or Cipro. The second is resistant to these. I will be going on a new aerosol antibiotic, but for the life of me cant remember the name. I want to say its the Colymycin that people have mentioned, but I'm not sure. Its in review with my insurance because its so new for me. What I do know about it according to the doctor is that its known to be "frothy" while administering it. She has also been told by patients that the cooler it is at the time of use the less "frothy" it is. From the sounds of it does it sound like the Colymycin? I'll know for sure later today because I need to check on the review process.
