Military and CF

I was curious how many of you guys are miliaty? and where abouts are you stationed? My husband is in the AF, and we are getting ready to put in for a new assignment due to my husbands job at our first and current base. We are both from CO. I was wondering where you guys are at and how is the medical treatments and hospitals? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

As far as "Guys" go, I'm sure you're aware that Males with CF aren't accepted in the military. However, there are a lot of Females with CF who are married to Military.
I can say off the bat that the Seattle area would be one good place to consider.

As for CO, I'm not sure if they have AF Bases in Colorado Springs, but they do have a lot of military installations.

I'm sure I wasn't of much help, but it is a start...BTW, welcome!

I meant whoever has a idea in this topic. I only know of one guy who had CF who went in the AF, we shared the same doctor he got a medical waiever.

We live and are from CO. There are 5 military bases here. 4 which are AF. I grew up here my dad retired here as well. We are leaving CO, I should of been more specific.

my husband is in the marine corps and we are stationed over in jacksonville, nc. we are also in a program called efmp (exceptional family members program), which we are required to be enrolled in because of my cf. but this program makes it to where we are stationed within a resonable distance to a cf accredited center. which granted the closest place to us is chapel hill, which is a 3 hour drive, but it's ok. we are supposed to get money back for gas and what not, but i'm just learning how to do that, so until i figure all that out we just have to pay for it ourselves. i'm not sure all i can say to you. but if you want to pm me and ask me anything knock yourself out. my hubby has been in for two years so i can try and help ya out as much as i can.
