They just put Rickie on it just yesterday-one capful with 8oz of water...x-ray showed a tremendous amount of stool in colon! He goes 3 to 4 times a day without it. He also has had intersupptus (sp)

HI, When Nathan started Miralax a long time ago, he did a capful twice a day the first day, then a capful a day for 6 days, and then went on a maintenacne dose of 1/2 to 1 capful a day depending on his bowl movements and need. I would check with your doctor for a recommendation. Though, I do know that if they have CF, they use miralax at very young ages and am guessing that the package directions would be for "normal" people, those without CF. Best thing is to check with your doctor, though a 1/2 capful a day in the meantime should not hurt.
