have them stitch it to your arm. i had two stitches so if it was pulled it wouldn't come out. my two previous picc's were stitched in also.

not sure about the meds. i know azactam was going to be fine. i was on that but i stopped b/f because of other orals.

My only advice is to make sure you and babe are taking probiotics while you're on the meds (I'm sure you already knew that). Hope they help! For a while now my cultures have shown my bugs to be resistant to just about every med. Thankfully I'm doing fine but I worry about when/if I get sick - and hope meds will work!

wanderlost-congratulations and good for you, I am veyr proud of you, 3 weeks from now you will be wondering why you waited so long! I woudl say wrap the arm when not in use with a bandage, long sleeve shirt at least, I would just do pletny yogurt for little one and take lots probiotics yourself, that has worked fine for us. I did ceftaz in july all was fine aside from exhaustion, get ready for that, we all react differently but that is what affects me most. In not so long ago past I have let exhaustion rule and cut BACK on other treatments because I was 'too tired' dont do this, be VERY aggressive with all treatments, it will make a huge difference and is what got me up to 105% last time.

take care, keep us updated, good lcuk

You're paving the way for us momma. Thank you and please keep us posted. Will you have to be admitted for a day or two to get the dose at the right level (peaks/trough blood tests)?
