Me and my husband have been throwing around the idea of moving to Hawaii. Of course theres no CF center besides the military base so I was wondering on the care there. There has to be non-military CF'ers there. Can anyone shed some light on the Docs, will CFPAF transfer assistance there, is there other programs to help out with copays on the islands, ect. Just trying to get educated. Thanks for your help!!
There is a family with two children w/CF that moved to Hawaii in the last couple years (non military as far as I know), I know it's not the same as adult CF care but she may have some good input for you. Hopefully she'll see this!

I don't think I'd move there. Lots of moisure in the air and lots of mold. I personally would not do well there.

Thanks guys for giving Laura my info...we are now in touch via Facebook

Actually Tom, there are more climates on the islands of Hawaii than anywhere else (I believe, don't take that as absolute fact Especially on the Big Island where we live. We live on the dry side and definitely see more moisture than we did in Arizona, but it seems that it is the perfect amount of moisture for the boys lungs.

blessings,
missa
