Mucinex

To clarify: The main reason I take the generic is because I react badly to the blue dye in Mucinex. Someone has told me that this and a few other traits I have suggest another genetic disorder. I was given this link about it but haven't gotten around to reading it: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://g6pddeficiency.org/">http://g6pddeficiency.org/</a>

If that isn't a problem for you (or your kids), Great! My issue with blue dyes apparently has nothing at all to do with CF.

Peace.

Recently we talked about trying the generic but it is not time released like mucinex so you have to take it every four hours. Mucinex is more expensive but more convenient.</end quote></div>

IF the genetic isnt taken every 4 hours......would there be a huge difference?? Did your boys use Pulmozyme before, during or after starting this, Jane?

I am interested in it since my hemoptysis kicks in too frequently after trying to restart Pulmozyme tho I do know I have huge benefits from the Pulmozyme.

i was thinking about using the mucinex-d but wasnt sure if it would make my sinuses drain more . i have a very big problem with that. my sister said it helped her , but she died from her cf day before thanksgiving. so i was kind of hesitate to use it. my cf has just started to get worse in the past few years. comes with age i guess. just give me some pointers about how it helps you .i am afraid to take anything. i got pneumonia about three weeks ago and it was pretty bad . couldnt go shopping for christmas, and i am the one that does everything at my house. but we made it through. do you have b cepacia? i do unfornately . just found that out about the time i took the pnuemonia. but anyway i do agree with you about the exercise i just have to wait till i am up to it.
