I give this to my 11 DD when she feels like the mucus is thick are hard to cough up, it seems to help a little bit. No side effects for her.

It seems to make the post nasal drip slide down better for me.

I just saw that commercial yesterday and actually contemplated posting here about how annoyed I was that the actor didn't sound like he has any mucus in need of thinning.

I have heard of some cf'ers taking it on a regular basis, I guess it helps a little bit...

I think it works like fizzy NAC or so I heard... but not sure.

I also know that women who are trying to conceive take it to help thin out cervical mucus too.

I take Mucinex twice a day, pretty much every day. My doctor said I don't "have" to take it, but I feel better when I do take it (and feel less congested) so I take it pretty often...it used to be Rx (guifenissen) instead of over the counter, which was nice b/c insurance paid for, but oh well.

YES, yes, yes!!! This stuff worked wonders for me!! I have only taken it once but I make sure I keep it on hand just in case. Make sure you get the DM.

Hi all, would you say it works better than Pulmozyme? I use that once a day and I must say I've been using it for yrs. and have not had a plug in I can't remember how long? My mucus flows pretty easily.
