One of my boys took it a couple of months ago and it seemed to work but then we found out the sickness was from a sinus infection. I think it does seem to work when you aren't dealing with infection. It seems to help get all of the crap up.

I think that it might be helpful -- I don't have CF but have taken the generic guafianesen myself and find it helps. But I would definitely talk to your CF center before ever giving an OTC drug. Ours does not want Alyssa to take mucinex unless they tell us to for a certain circumstance.
