Just wanted to say that I am 35 w/CF, have a sis 34 without CF and a brother 28 w/CF. I know it had to be hard for my mom. I want to say to all of you moms-and dads....you all are wonderful people and I know it takes a lot of work to take care of a child with CF....hang in there and stay strong!

thanks for the encouragement and support... having 3 to care for can be overwhelming at times. Feels good to know I'm not the only one. It's strange, I feel like i've been on auto pilot for the past few months, but now it's kind of sinking in, this isn't temporary... this is our new reality. (our baby was newborn screening, the other two were tested as a result... pancreatic sufficient, all respitory issues at this time.) It's really hard for me right now, as they just can't seem to get well right now. I'm dreading a triple hospitilization, as the baby was just in before christmas. We're on our second round of oral antibiotics for another 2 weeks.... and if this doesn't work i'm thinking they'll be admitted. Although, i'm thinking all 3 in at the same time might be easier than me in with one, and trying to coordinate care for the others while in the hospital. My husband works long hours, and is on call at night, so the last hosptialization seemed like a nightmare trying to get the kids to school etc.

I guess my biggest challenge is trying to keep them out of eachothers faces.. which is near impossible! so they keep sharing their bugs...but i guess this is common with more than 1 in a house.

Two kids here too, so far things have been good. About 2 days after I got pregnant with Sophie there was a thread that surfaced on this website saying that you shouldn't take the 4 in 1 chance of having kids with CF. There were some real strong opinions against having more than one child with CF. I felt really bad that I was pregnant with a 2nd CFer but I realised I couldn't do much about things.

My kids don't usually have a lot of medications. Well yet. So unless they are on antibiotics I usually don't have to write down what they have taken because I can remember.
