my antibiotics are making me sicker

i just got out of the hospital did a clean out but they sent me home on three antibiotics, Bactrim cipro and tobi, its making me sick everytime i take them i get in so much adominal pain, i get shakey with headaches and my jaw hurts. i get nauseus and i cant eat. ive lost 10 lbs in a week over this time being sick and i still aint eating. the thought of food makes me sick...

on a lighter note i made it into culinary school lol.

what do you do when the thing thats supposed to help you does nothing but make you worse?

Sorry to hear you're having such a miserable time.

Perhaps you could talk to your doctor about the possibility of changing the combination a bit to see if it helps. You at least want your doctor to be aware of the effect the meds are having on you.

Personally, though, I always figure side effects from abx are meant to be lived with unless they're ones that have the ability to cause permanent damage. No fun, but the course of meds won't last forever! Hang in there! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
