I remember mist tents, they where loud wet and terrifying for the first 6 months or so my Dad you have to climb into it with me I was so afraid to sleep. I think it was to prepare us for the "Box" when it first came out, all crammed into a airtight plywood box with nothing but a little bubble to look out of, wonder if that might have something to do with my discomfort in tight spaces, LOL

Your story is really interesting and inspiring as a younger CF-er it is intriguing to read about these methods that were used! I recently applied to law school and wrote a story of overcoming expectations as a result of my CF as a personal statement, so reading yours was inspiring! Thank you!

Great story! Thanks for sharing.
Being 47 I experienced much of what you did including 'Little Guy, Big Truck'. I drove a semi for a living for 23 years. I loved it & not a day goes by that I don't miss it.
Interestingly enough, my pulmonologist said driving that truck may have been one of the reasons my life has been prolonged & also why I never had many pulmonary problems until my late 30's.
He said the constant vibration & the rough ride helped to keep the crap in my lungs loose, allowing me to spit ot up all day.
Once again, thank you for sharing & may God be with you, sincerely,
'Pat'.
