My Make-a-wish

Emily is correct. Our social worker at the hospital recommended us for Make-a-Wish, but when they called us to get info on Emily, the women actually said to me...."Oh we can't help you; there are other sicker children and CF is so close to a cure". We wered flabbergasted and somehow got recommended to the Starlight Foundation and they took wonderful care of Emily's wish. Make-A-Wish may be different now but back then, we were very disappointed in their response! I would go to the Starlight Foundation immediately when I am going to make a donation of any kind and Make-A-Wish is on their own. (they get more press anyway) ;o)

So close to a cure... and they said that to us 10 years ago. HAH! People suck. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">

Make-@-Wish is an amazing organization, that couldn't be possible without caring people of the rest of the world. I went to Hawaii 2 years ago and it was amazing. make a wish made everything perfect, and made sure i was comfortable at all times. My family and I had a wonderful experience, and I will never be able to repay them for their generosity.

I remember when I was in the 6th grade.. They said they were close to a cure (that was 14 years ago or something) and I got so excited. I really thought it would be cured by the time I went to college. That ticks me off.
