Thanks, Lynda

I didn't know that about the coughing up blood and treatments. I never coughed up blood before only pink-tinged mucus. That would make sense. I was worried that the hospital was being neglegent (sp?).

Diane - Yeah, '08 is not off to the best start. Moss (5-6-year-old Lab) started peeing overnight without any warning. I took him to the vet Wednesday night where he got tested for everything under the sun. I got the call Friday morning and was running to pick up the Prednisone. It will stall the cancer. So far, he is acting completely normal. I thought he had diabetes but never this...

Good for you, being on top of things! That was good of you to notice about the delayed CPT. You know the old saying "If we don't take care of ourselves, no one else will". I've definitely learned to be assertive in my care too! Keep it up!

I hope your dog does better. We had to put our lab down a couple of years ago due to cancer too and that's sooo hard. They are almost like members of the family

I'm really sorry for what you're both going through right now. She'll definitely be in my prayers. About 10 years back there were some really bad forest fires in Mexico *we were living in Texas at the time* and over the radio they kept saying anyone with asthma or breathing problems should stay in doors as much as possible. Even with my sister staying in doors most of the time she declined VERY rapidly and ended up in ICU..several patients with CF in the state had the same problem. Very scary situation and the important thing is she's there at the hospital now. She could really bounce back fast, so keep your fingers crossed. After this she may be just fine for a long time to come too.
