My son having trouble with school

To answer some of your questions Sakem I was very scared at first with truancy officer first thing she said is lets try to keep this out of court!!She was very nice after I explained situation.As far as seeing it in the handbook I have to be honest and say I didnt read it front to back but I thought by going to school and talking to everyone they understood situation.My problem I guess isnt with the policy but with the actin they took I tried to make myself and my child as open to them as possible and dont understand why they didnt contact me first??

As far as the IEP I called the social worker at CF clinic and she suggested this and am not sure what 504 is but if it helps my so in any way Im all for it.I am glad you child school is accomadating as I thought my sons school was gonna be<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

And to his struggling I thought I said in original post that I was gonna take him to speak to someone actually have appt at clinic this week and was gonna ask social worker what she would suugest.We always get his make up work and his grades are good actually.The problem is they said he isnt speaking clearly and mumbles answers doeant want to participate in class.At home he is a chatterbox LOL and wont stop talking!!So we will see thank you for you feedback I hope to have answer any questions and look forward to responses thanks again.

Sorry, u had to deal with that, not that we as CF parents don't have enough emotional things to deal with. And as far as the school handbook goes, trust me I totally understand, I was not slaming you, for I have my sons in the kitchen spare junk drawer, never read a page.

Anyways, I hope the spring brings better things, and I'm sure you'll find the answers and get the help for Nick. I'm sure things will turn out great for him, with u as a mother to advocate and see he gets the best in life.

Now I can beat what I wrote first lol I got a letter today from domestic court that said they could put my son (kindergartener) in the detention home can you believe that and me in jail for 30 days!!Im sure this letter was sent out before I spoke to them but can you believe that!! It says you are hereby advised that you must immediately cause your child to attned school daily so funny thought you all would get a kick out of that anyways I will keep you all posted thank you all for your support.
