Im still in shock. My husband and i are reading everything we can find on CF. Im so glad there is a support system here. We have 3 other children that now need to be tested. they are 8,6 and 4 with no symptoms. should i still worry?

thank you...

Worrying will only stress you out. It is possible they might have CF, it's possible they won't. Just have them tested and then you'll know.

Some CFers symptoms don't develop immediately. Wouldn't hurt to have them tested. Especially since when they're older and they're getting ready to have kids of their own, they would know if they're carriers and if their spouses would need to be tested also.

Word to the wise. Be careful of the information you're reading. Some CF info is very outdated.

Hi Sue and welcome to the site. There is a great deal of support and information to be found here.

As a parent, you will probably worry no matter what anyone says, but try to focus on the positive. In this case, the positive is that you have a diagnosis and can now concentrate on treating the disease. Just take everything one step at a time.
