Our son was diagnosed last year because of the Iowa Newborn screen at 3 weeks but he was having diarrhea at the time also and having a hard time gaining weight.
Our daughter was diagnosed also a month after him. THey had us get our other 2 children sweat tested. She is 8 now and she is very skinny but does not have to take enzymes because she is pancreatic sufficient. She had some changes in her lungs when they took her chest x-ray also after her diagnosis.
THey are both doing well.
