Hello!
I searched this and I didn't find anything, so I am sorry if this is a re-post.
sorry that this is a wee bit long...
I am a sophmore at college and this year I am in a different dorm and this year, my smoke detector has recently started going off when I do my nebulizers.
I do albuterol, pulmozyme, HTS and Tobi. Its getting to be winter so the windows are shut, but even when I crack them it still goes off.
I've recently started to have the windows wide open and the door open pretty wide, but it's getting pretty cold out, so when it's mid-winter my roommate and I are going to be freezing. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this happen to them.
Luckily, our smoke detector isn't hooked directly to the fire department, but still, it's annoying and slightly embarrasing to have the smoke detector go off.
I read up on smoke detectors and I guess that some of them have a lazer beam and detect when it gets 'hazy' so that would explain why it keeps going off, as the room does get smokey-looking (or vaporish?).
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or if this has happened to them. : )
