Our daughter is 10 months old and was diagnosed with CF at 1 month through Colorado newborn screening process. she has been eating enzymes with baby food for 9 months with no problem. Suddenly this past week she has developped aversion to spoon feeding of any kind. Therefore it has been almost impossible to get enzymes into her. We used soda crackers, which she likes, but as soon as baby food is on there, she starts batting it away and crying. We have had to hold her mouth open to get enzymes into her, but we are terrified that this is creating an eating disorder. We need a better solution. Ironically, she has no problem eating her formula (increased calorie) in her bottle and is the only thing that she is eating besides hotdogs (ABC or small pieces) and soda crackers for last couple days. I have read about peanut butter on other forums, but how do you determine if they have allergy or not? Any other ideas for infant with only 2 teeth on bottom jaw? Also looking for any other high calorie foods?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
