Need help with nebulizer

We have a Pari compressor with Pari LC Plus nebulizer. We are doing hypertonic saline twice a day. We were told by another CF parent to take the cap off the nebulizer to make it go faster, but it still take over 15 minutes. Is this normal? We've changed to a new nebulizer, we've cleaned the nebulizer. Just not sure if we're doing it right. Please help!

How much are you nebbing? With a vial of atrovent (2.5 ml?) and .5 ml of albuterol it takes 12-15 minutes on our pari and 8-10 with our devilbiss.

We used the wrap when my daughter was about a year old, in the hospital. I wouldn't recommend it for really small babies though, it would still shake the baby too much.
