My 4mls of 7% saline takes about 7-10 minutes but I have a 50 psi compressor from Invacare called a Mobilaire. To be honest, 15 minutes with a Pari compressor for 7% is probably pretty good.

My daughters HS takes at least 15 min with all the same equip / dose as yours. I say hang in there. I know it's a long treatment, but I really think the benefits are going to be substantial!

Thanks for all the input. I'm okay with the time, but our CF clinic acted like something might be wrong with our equipment. I guess the doc thought we had a different compressor. Glad to know we're doing it right! We have so much to learn...

There may be something up with your compressor - not sure if that was mentioned before.

Because CFer's are such heavy compressor users, the machines can go out sooner than the average 3 years.

If you have a PARI compressor, you can always call them and get the compressor swapped out for a new one. It's a pretty painless process.

You are very wise to keep on top of treatment times - this is often the first indication that something might be up.

My philosophy is - if I'm goign to be investing time in doing treatments, everything better be at top performance. Otherwise, it's a waste of time!
