First know that most CFers will culture pseudomonas (PA) at some point.

It can be an issue once its colonized. Since its the first time....its important that they try to erradicate it.

Have they started antibiotics? PA can lead to lung damage so left untreated it not only becomes colonized sooner, but can cause problems.

Let us know if you have other questions....

My fianncee, Justin just got the call yesterday saying he had PA! It is the third time in 9 years!! He has gotten rid of PA completely the last two times he got it! We feel like it will go away this time!! His isn't very bad at all he hasn't even showed signs of being sick from it! I want him to use Tobamiacin (I know that isn't how you spell it) but the hospital has him interested in an experimental drug!!

Mu daughter was diagnosed at 2 1/2 because she cultured pseudo. Since then, she has always cultured it except maybe 2 times but we are not sure if it was even a good swab. She does pretty well. No serious problems. Just one tune up at 5 when she needed a sinus surgery. It's scary news but defiantely not a death sentence. Take care.
