Homemade mac and cheese (among other things) works well for our little guy.

1 bag mac noodles boiled al dente and drained
2 Tbsp butter or spread
2/3 cup half and half
1/4 cup milk
1 - 1.5 cups (or more) cheddar cheese

Stir together on low until creamy - sprinkle with grated parmesan, salt and pepper to taste.

Mine's on a pancake kick, so we use melted butter and whole milk yogurt as well as adding protein powder (cut back then on sugar a bit!). Does Carnation have more calories than Scandishake? We've been happy to add that to our current arsenal! Oh, and use cream cheese instead of or as well as mayo on sandwiches. DON'T EAT THE SAME FOOD AS YOUR KID OR YOU WILL HAVE A HEART ATTACK!!!

try adding heavy whipping cream to things with the milk, it adds alot of calories, and makes it taste really good. we add it to cakes, brownies etc also, as well as our homemade milkshakes. BTW I came up with a recipe for a 1500 calorie milkshake per 8 oz. And it tastes yummy. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> 'Coarse I have no business eating it..but the kids love it...It is on the recipe section too.
