Sorry - the rest of my post didn't appear...

Here's what we do -

- Duocal instead of Polycose. Duocal is supposed to be better than Polycose per DD's dietician. Polycose is more sugar while Duocal is comprised of easily absorbed/digested carbs (still sugar, but better form).
- Pediasure 1.5 (300 cals per 8oz)
- Miralax daily
- Enfagrow vanilla toddler formula added to Pediasure
- ZENPEP!!! This may be the most important change for DD. She did horribly on Creon. She didn't gain well while taking Pacrease either.

My kids are picky also and they do not like the shakes, high calorie milk based supplements, etc. My oldest has a g-button and our 6 year old is on the "watch list" for a g-button if he can't get his weight up in the next 3 months. He loves apple juice so we had him try a supplement that Abbott Nutrition makes called Enlive. I know Enlive comes in apple, peach, and berry flavors. If you go to the Abbott Nutrition website you can order it. It tends to get a little expensive but we are actually in the process of seeing if my insurance will cover it even though it is a supplement b/c it helps him gain weight which will eliminate the need for the g-button which would be way more expensive for my insurance. Tucker goes thru about a case a week, there are 32-6.75 oz. cartons in a case, a case costs $37.00 but when you order at least 2 at a time you get free shipping. I would definately try it, I know it is $150.00 a month for 4 cases but it really is worth it if you can afford it.

Also if your child is on Creon enzymes they offer a program where you send in your receipts for you enzymes either 1 or 3 month supply and you get a free case of the Enlive juice for each month supply you have. This help a lot as well and if you need the form let me know and I can get it to you. Hope this helps.....

We make our son a fruit smoothie with: frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries, bananas, apple juice, vanilla yogurt, Garden of Life green powder, and most importantly a T. of flaxseed oil (11g/fat per tbsp). It is very yummy and nutritious.
