I mean, common - they probably work, to make money, to feed themselves, right?

Only because praying endlessly while starving didn't produce food falling from the sky, nor money.

Sorry. I know some very down to earth, mellow religious people who are fine upstanding people. Just like any other extremists, all it takes is knowing one of them and having to be around them to put a real sour taste in your mouth regarding what they are associated with. I work with an ULTRA religious douche bag hypocrite who no one can stand. I was never big on religion to begin with, but every time I see/hear that guy and listen to the things he says, makes me want to shoot myself. Sadly, he has three little children who look to be malnourished/unkempt. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he let the same thing happen to his kid.

It's not neglect, it's not belief... It's child abuse resulting in willful homicide. They killed the child - plain and simple.

I agree that it is child abuse. In fact, in RI (I assume other states but you never know) DCYF gets involved in cases of "medical neglect". That is clearly medical neglect.

Maybe those parents should stop eating. If God wants them to stay alive, they don't need to eat right? Just pray.
