I dont exactly know why, but he recomended that I use the NeilMed Sinus Rinse cup instead of the baby nasal aspirator. I used it last night and what you do for those that dont you, you fill it with 8 oz of water and put a packet of istonic saline (which comes with the bulb) and then you squirt half up one side and half up the other...so its about four oz up each side...which is a lot more than I was doing.

Anyway...for those that use it...how do you disinfect it? The directions tell me to use tap water and dish soap but that doesnt seem like enough. And plus it says you shouldnt boil the plastic and also that a dishwasher wouldnt get it clean enough. Any thoughts/ideas?

I use distilled water for the rinse itself. Then I rinse the bottle with distilled water. After I empty that into the sink I put a few ounces of rubbing alcohol in it, swish it around, squirt it out the nozzle and dump it out. I still find it hard to air dry the bottle, so I only use it once a day. I would invest in a second one, if I needed more than once rinse a day.

I use the larger 16oz bottle, to get all the junk out I usually need to fill it up between 2 and 10 times! I just rinse it out and let it airdry, then when I order more saline packs I always get a new bottle, I have run it thru the sanitize cycle on the dishwasher too

For sanitizing my neti pot and nebulizer parts, I use these:

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.amazon.com/Medela-Quick-Clean-Micro-Steam-Bags/dp/B000096QQ5/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1213560882&sr=8-2
">http://www.amazon.com/Medela-Q...qid=1213560882&sr=8-2
</a>
Someone mentioned them on here actually, and I looked em up and bought some. Easy to use and cheap.
