who uses a neti pot? i went and got one today and i can already tell i'm going to love it. i'm staying at my moms tonight and i had her doing it a while ago. her nose must be really blocked up because it took forever for hers to come out and it trickled out. mine poured out of the other side. it's so cool <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I use the Neil Med sinus rinse, which is pretty much the same thing... I've had repeated sinus surgeries for nasal polyps, etc., and I started using it after my most recent surgery (August). Its been great, and I've definitely noticed a difference in comfort, ease of maintaining my airways, etc.

I do nasal irrigations w/ a huge syringe and i love it.. If i skip i feel it right away.. I do it twice a day, every day...after the irrigation i use verimyst (like flonase) If it is very dry at night (and right now it is w/ the heat on) i use a nasal spray to keep my nose moist.. <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0"> joni

I want my son to start using this again- he did years ago. Ive forgotten the amount of salt you use. What is the ratio of salt to water? I bought sea salt- is this ok or just regular table salt? Thanks Susan
