neti pot

I was using a neti pot and loved it but then I got a sinus infection, I think maybe all the water wasn't draining out of my sinuses. After not using it for months I still have water in my ear. I think it's time for me to see an ENT, I've always had sinus problems and have never dealt with them.

I use a syringe with saline. Just as easy i think. Let it go in at one site, tilt my head and it comes out the other side.
It really helps me clear my sinusses.

I don't have a neti pot, put I do irrigate with something called the Grossan Hydropulse.

I love it! I currently have a sinus infection and it is so awesome that I can just irrigate and watch all of that nasty stuff come right out.

It keeps the sinus stuff from going into my chest. Also, I usually can get over my sinus infections without antibiotics if I irrigate 3x's a day during the infection. Normally, I only do it once a day.

One more thing---I really think daily irrigation cuts down on the number of illnesses. Since irrigating, my sicknesses have decreased by over 50%.

just curious, why do you think it is that irrigating cuts down on lung infections? is the theory that viruses start in our heads and float down to our chest so if we can get the bugs out before they start growing there they won't spread down south??
