Most clinics (at least here in the US) are open 7 days a week to accomodate those fertility peaks. Is this clinic you are going to you only option? Can they make an exception to come in on a weekend if that's when you are most fertile?

Hi Julie, here in the UK the health system is a bit different from the US. If you need fertility treatment you can either go to private fertility clinics (which charge about $2000 per IUI cycle) or you are allowed a limited amount of attempts that are paid for by the state (which take place in our regular state-funded hospitals that look after the majority of the health care needs of UK citizens during their lifetime). However the state-funded hospitals are not open at the weekends for fertility treatments (at least they aren't in my area) so its a problem if your most fertile period falls over a weekend! We can't afford to go to a private clinic so we have to cross our fingers and hope that either the best dates are during the week or that a Friday or Monday date for IUI will still work.

Yeah at my nearest fertility clinic these are the prices to do IUI:

Initial Consultation = $308
IUI Procedure = $1172
Drugs for IUI = $366-$733

In the US you have private medical insurance don't you? Does this subsidise part of the costs may be?
