I have heard it many times and now believe mild CF is CF and is progressive! Mild will become moderate then severe and we all know what's next. </end quote></div>

I was diagnosed with "atypical CF" just before I turned 36. I nearly died and was bedridden for 3 1/2 months prior to finally getting diagnosed. Then doctors did very little for me after my diagnosis because my case was "mild" and I "wasn't very sick for someone with CF". The fact that my life was in real danger appeared lost on them.

The volume end of the equation is 93% and the FEV1 is about 100 so they are good however a person who has run 3 and 5 miles 3 x week for 15 years should probabily be much higher on the FEV1 end at maybe 130 as I understand the metrics. Like I said I'm new and am just getting to understand all the dynamics. I am just flat out lucky to have chosen running as a means to releave stress and maintain weight. My Doc said running is one of the main reasons you are well "reading through the lines"(not sick yet). Running is flat out hard some days but my power purple wrist band from Zoe4life gives me the insperation to suck it up. HA HA! Wasn't long ago I could do five miles with ease now it's a chore.

Yea I'm a bit fat but I don't thing that will last long beings the pank is on the way out. My enzyme levels were fine after the first pank attack however they are on a steep decline Fecal Elastase @ 95 Normal @ 200 to 500. I have been aware of this due to the fluctuation of the BM's. Doc said I may not need enzymes due to my gut producing some. He'll check the Vit's next visit. I take a lot of Vitamins. MicheleGazelle have any pank cures?

My sugars are great so says the Doc.

Like I said I'm new so if you see something thats not correct just yell.

Hope this helps,

Steven

ok a totally offbeat question that i wanted to ask right off the bat........
Are you a car enthusiast? Do you have a Shelby? I am a Muscle Car girl( Love building 'em drag racing, car shows etc. )
So naturally the first thing i thought when i saw the name Shelbyville is...... Hmmmmmmm is that Shelby as in Mustang Shelby? I may be way off, but its the way my brain works when i see anything that even slightly could potentially have anything to do with the sport of Muscle cars <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">
