hey, i was diagnosed a few years ago and i know how you feel. it seems impossible to handle at first, but don't worry! you will get used to it quickly and it won't seem like such a big deal. do you alternate what finger you prick when you take your blood sugar? if not, make sure you do that. and be sure to check your sugar as often as you can. sometimes i take mine 8 times a day. it's a pain but it's helpful. as for emotions, you'll probably notice that they are all over the place at first but once your sugars are regulated you should feel a lot better. also, has your dr. told you anything about changing your diet? i hope this helps you at least a little.
