NUK Quick n Ready Steam Sterilizer

I received a Nuk steam sterilizer with my shipment of Cayston from CF Pharmacy. It is comparable to the Avent IQ sterilizer which I had already been using. I personally like the Avent model better because I am able to fit more neb pieces in it, and because it has a timer and keeps contents sterile for 6 hours...but they both do the same job of sterilizing. I then use the germ guardian to dry.

How long does it take the Germ Guardian to dry? WE have been using the avent iq for about 2 1/2 years, but the whole dry thing always bothers me. I have been considering getting one of these, but...not sure if it is just one more thing to have on my cf counter though. We have been doing treatments every four hours forever it seems now, so this would be sound like it would be helpful in making sure it absolutely dry???

The Germ guardian is definitely a worthwhile purchase in my opinion. It dries in 30 minutes. I usually shake the excess water off the neb pieces before putting them in, and I think this helps to make sure they come out dry after one cycle. It also means no neb pieces lying around on the counter to dry, which is probably more sanitary as well.

I only use my Germ Guardian to dry my wet STERILIZED nebs and leave them in there until I use the.</end quote></div>

Me too. If the other one <i>also</i> sterilizes, then I'd rather have that. I'll ask when we're in clinic on Friday.</end quote></div>

Yes, the NUK Quick is a sterilizer<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I think the only difference between NUK and Avent is a minute of two difference ...can any one verify that?

I use avent plus germ guardian as well.
