Obama did something useful

Sorry, won't read or get involved in long political lectures.

To anyone who wants to know, Geron, the company that was at the beginning of embryonic research had their hands tied for eight years. When Bush announced that they could use existing embryonic lines, it was a political compromise and he also knew that there were virtually very few usable lines -- they were contaminated with mouse cells.

Geron has had this human trial ready to go for a long time. In fact the FDA turned Geron down to begin this project, and found ways to thwart this and other projects. The FDA said Geron didn't supply enough information -- although they supplied over 22000 pages, practically more than any clinical trial ever. I found this in an interesting article about Geron and am not sure I can find it again. I'll try. But I had to find research for another post which took me forever to find and it is all way too time consuming.

All I know is it is all a mute point. Because embryonic stem cell research shall and WILL now continue! Hate politics. Love Science moving forward.
