I'm sure nothing will be positive during my upcoming OB/GYN appointment on May 1st, but I'm looking forward to it anyway.
As I stated in another thread, I ovulated Sunday. Well starting Saturday, I was extremely bloated, felt constipated, and had such pain. Some of the pain was throughout the whole pelvic area yet most was located near the left ovary...again...
I made it through the weekend...I was popping Advil like candy every 4 hours. It did NOTHING. I was half tempted to go to the ER. However, I have a $100.00 copay so I decided to pass and wait and see.
Well, Monday I was watching Aidan and barely made it through. I was so uncomfortable. Everytime I had to use the bathroom either way was murder from the pressure. It was so bad, and the pain was the whole day long. Mostly cramps, but I would have sharp, stabbing pains every once and awhile.
By 5:00 pm, I was so done...I still didn't want to go to the ER and pay $100.00 to wait for 4 hours for an ultrasound. My old OB/GYN is 1 hour each way so I wasn't in for that either. Besides, they suck. I didn't want to really call and bother the new clinic yet either...I wasn't sure what to do. I knew the cyst on the left side must have been rather large. However, I think the fact that I ovulated or tried to had so much to do with it all. Needless to say, I ended up taking a Oxycotin that Jake had leftover from an ear infection nearly 1 year ago. That killed the pain. Finally, I felt better. Heck, I could have jumped off a cliff and would have thought that I could fly...
Today, Friday, the pain is gone completely. It got slightly better each day to now. At least I'll have a good weekend. Next week, I'll start with PMS so I'll be crappy again for the next 10 days or so... PMS time + 7 day period.
I'm so sick of it!!! I have constant lower back pain which is so much stronger during my periods that seemed to have gotten worse. My periods themselves haven't changed much. Some are heavier than others but not progressive worse over time.
However, this terrible pain during ovulation is something that is new. It has been getting much worse and more frequently for the past 9 months. When I came off the pill, nearly 3 years ago, I had those same problems maybe once every 6 months. Then, it became once every 3 months. Now, I have had it every mid-cycle for the past 6 months. The last thing I feel like doing is baby dancing...
I'm so tired of being miserable 2 to 2.5 weeks out of the month!!!
This upcoming appointment will be interesting to say the least. I'm not sure what will happen...
