Hello JBrandon, that is very interesting on the sonogram situation, I am seing a perintologist but so far I have only had a sono at 6weeks and then again at 12 weeks. My next one is my anatomy scan at 18 weeks. Should I be concerned?... They have said that im doing very well, dont know if thats not why they are doing sono's every month or not. Hmmmm. And to everyone that replied thanks so much this really helps, maybe I can start on some cipro and see if that helps. Like I said, im not feeling bad, im just having the cough. Take care everyone.

I also had an ultrasound every two weeks, beginning at about 14 weeks. My perinatologist (out of town) saw me once a month and did the whole 3D thing, with measuring of organs, limbs, etc. My OB saw me once a month and did a regular ultrasound. I just coordinated those so that the ultrasounds were spaced every two weeks. The second two times I was hospitalized they did an ultrasound daily to be sure the fetus was not in distress.

Be sure to talk to the perinatologist about the Cipro. If I remember correctly, it's only restricted during the first trimester, and since you're beyond that you're probably okay, but I would still ask. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Mine worked out how Jeanas did. I saw a OB (who is high risk) and I saw a perinatologist that did once a month ultrasounds (then 2 times a month at 30 weeks). I coordinated the 2 so that I would be getting one every other week. When I was in the hospital I got one every week (jsut to see if the antibiotics were affecting it). My OB was VERY cautious since I had CF and she was very aggressive with making sure me and the baby were doing great.

I would talk to them about your concerns. I know that my OB and my CF doc had worked together before and they worked very closely together my whole pregnancy.
