For the past several weeks DS has seen this commercial on tv for Pancake Puffs. Figure when he asks for something, actually shows an interest in something food related, we need to act on it. So I went searching for it yesterday and finally found it at Linens-n-things. So for supper DH got out the pancake mix and made these for DS. Comes with an injector to stuff the little pancake balls with filling, syrup, jelly, frosting, meat.... DS chose pudding. So last night's supper consisted of lemon pudding filled pancake puffs. Too funny.

Hey! I've been wondering about that contraption! I've been fantasizing about different healthy fattening fillings etc.

Did it work well? Was it cool? Did your little one scarf down a bunch? lol

Thanks for posting about this!lol

I was a little concerned because it's cast iron and we have a ceramic topped stove -- but the pan bottom is flat. My husband just mixed up regular pancake batter -- said learning to flip was a little tricky, but Max has had pancake puffs every single night for the past three nights. I need to get to the grocery store because he wants them filled with pudding and all we had was lemon snack packs. This evening he dipped them in ketchup. Maybe we should've just FILLED them with ketchup since that's one of his favorite food groups.

Figure any time he ASKS for something to eat and is thrilled about eating, we'll happily comply. Figure I'll hit the grocery store for muffin mix and maybe some other filling ideas. The pan was $20 at linens n things -- 'course today I get a 20% off coupon in the mail, but figure I might just buy one for his grandparents house <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
