In the African american culture majority of men shave their heads bald.
In the US, African Americans tend to set pop culture and I've seen more non-blacks shaving their heads as well.
Nothing wrong with bald.... many chicks dig it.

My mom has had breast cancer, my aunt has down syndrome, my dad had a congenital heart defect that is considered genetic. Several suspected but undiagnosed CF cases (and can't test now as those people are dead!)
And various mental health issues (my dad has rather severe OCD.) depression and alcholism are also pretty wide spread in my family
