I usually always try to stay upbeat and focus all of my energy on raising awareness of this disease and it's atypical presentations but lately it's getting the best of me. All three of my kids have had various non stop lung and belly issues over the past several months and honestly I'm just maxed out with all of the illness. It really gets old!
Then there is my "healthy" oldest son who for whatever reason had lost 10+lbs since the fall. He's 15 and should be gaining not losing. I took him to our GI and his immediate response was I think we need to look into CF here.. Were starting off with labs and as horrible as this sounds I am praying that it's Crohns. (My exhusband and his father have crohns) because having four with Atypical CF would, I'm pretty sure, put me over the edge!
