Geez , I used to get them and still will once in awhile. Diladid will make it worse. In fact any kind of pain killer slows down the bowels. Lots of fluids. My mainstay is Miralax for good now. I can't do without it. I hated doing Go lytely so I switched to Miralax. It's gentler, and you don't have to drink as much. Massage helps sometimes.

If you lay down on the bed flat, and massage your belly from right side to the left gently if you have to but deep. Some times that will encourage the stool along. Pain for me is a good thing sometimes cause it is the colong spasming and trying to work it out. Pain is an indicator . I never want to hide it with Pain meds, unless it is absolutely necessary but not with bowel problems.

Wish you the very best.

Hug from me too.

i just got out of the hospital about 3 weeks ago from one and i learned somthing about Golitley. What i had was a mucus plug and wasnt allowed to have golitley because it could have caused a bowle perferation by a large build up of fluid behind the mucus ,tearing my intestine because the mucus can conform it self to the shape of the fluid behind it making a dam... If it is all stool thats fine but not with the mucus plug. Instead they gave me a super enima with contrast and it fixed me in ten minutes i shyte you not . i cant remember what it was called exactly but they did it in radiology , i actually watched the contrast liquify every thing in my small intestines .
