either that or our pancreatic ducts are clogged with mucus..... which is the consensus with CF docs around the world.

you can reduce acidity all you want but that won't unclog pancreatic ducts that secrete digestive enzymes into the digestive tract.

Yes, she takes 2 or 3 creon 5 (so a pretty small dose for a 3 year old) with snacks and meals. She's had a ton of difficulty gaining weight and now has a feeding tube -- so the enzymes are to help her gain weight.

She was tested for celiac's, did a bronch to ensure she wasn't culturing anything we were missing on the throat cultures, tried everything and could not figure it out. She's still on enzymes, and has gained 5 lbs since November when they placed a feeding tube. So they figured she just needs more calories than she can take in orally (and she is a very good eater) -- which is part of CF and how the body works so hard to fight the different CF stuff.
