I don't think it's Pari - I think it's Walgreens taking advantage of people. If it weren't for this site, I would have had no idea that you could just go online and buy one for $15, and I would have sucked it up paid the money (if I couldn't have gotten one from my clinic). I've heard that the pharmacy chains are almost always the most expensive place to buy prescriptions, so I'm not surprised they are that way with medical supplies as well. I just didn't know it could be almost 20 times more expensive!

kristen you're completely right, this isn't pari running the price up, its walgreens, which makes me wonder what other crap they pull with other meds, if i got mine filled there i would be watching for that. this a game that pharmacys play, the pharmacutical company i had been getting my hts from started pulling the same stunt, i don't remember what they were charging my insurance company but when i saw the itemized list i thought it was pulmozyme before i looked at the name of it. i can't tell you how ticked my parents were and then how ticked my cf clinic was when we told them, they had arranged back before hypersal with them to mix and sell it in the 100 dollar range which before hypersal was fairly reasonable, but then ran it up as much as they could, they bank on people just paying their co pay and not worrying about what it costs and the insurances not calling them on it, this stuff is part of the reason we're looking at moving all my meds over to cf services
