Pet OR not

My hubby and I are considering getting a hairless pet to add to our current crazy household.

Anyone heard of pros/cons from their docs about family pets?

We were considering female indoor hairless Sphynx cat??

It doesn't even have to be hairless (unless your kid, in addition to the CF, has an allergy to animal hair/dander).

I've had animals my whole life, furry ones, not furry ones. Never noticed any difference or anything. Docs know and don't care. I've had dogs (golden retrievers, pretty furry dogs), cats, hamsters, guinea pig, birds, fish, and currently also a ferret. No problems. If you are willing to help take care of a pet, get your kids a pet. Pets are good to have. I've always had dogs and love them.

My SIL has a cornish rex. They have an undercoating of hair, not fur - - theirs actually looks wooly. Wavy hair. They apparently don't shed. Kinda expensive though. And remember that friends episode with the mean hairless cat rachel had? <img src="i/expressions/devil.gif" border="0">
