I never thought about this before. I just assumed it was safe.

How serious is staph compared to cepacia to have?

should those people go last too?

Staph and MRSA are both staphylococcus.aureus which cause infections. MRSA is just a form of staph resistant to many antibiotics.

Yup Staph can come and go. It's not as serious as MRSA, in fact (and I may be wrong), but isn't MRSA treatable? Staph can be treated with a variety of antibiotics and go away. My last two cultures did not have Staph present. In fact, I haven't cultured Staph for about a year now.

My daughter has cultured staph several times, and always cleares it. She cultured MRSA once several years ago and it has not come back. She has also cultured PA once but never again.

Alyssa,
What did they give your daughter for the MRSA? That's great that it went away!
