This seems pretty small and silly, but a supply of kleenex. Not the tiny, paper thin kind the hospital provides, but full size Kleenex.

please help make hospital stay better

Wow. LouLou, love those suggestions, mainly b/c its so fucused on being clean!!!
And yours cf4life... like the digital picture screen and the oversized hospital bed <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> (they should b/c of overweight patients...) as well as an extra BED, not just a cot for guests.
I saw a hospital in Europe somewhere that had like 17 rooms that were all different themes, like ocean, nautical, jungle etc... they had a lot of this stuff like fridges and flat screens and I think the rooms were bigger too. It was like a special CF wing and the rooms had the themes to help deter the fact they were in the hospital for so long... great idea!

Wow. The way this room is shaping up it makes a hospital stay sound almost like a getaway.
BTW, I am not at all forgetting that most of the time a hospital stay means you are so sick you don't enjoy much of any of this. At least that has been the case for me the few times I have been hospitalized.

Nicer toiletries, when admitted w/o preperation. Speakers for I-pod/music, coffee maker is an amazing idea that someone else mentioned, small eating table with a chair or two- so we don't have to eat dinner in bed, nice/spa like/relaxing decor, mini fridge, netflix to stream into tv, i also like the hand-held shower attatchment, nicer mattress, more comfortable seating for guests/when we are up and out of bed, in room bike/treadmill....snack cupboard. What a wonderful idea. I wish this would start a movement and more hospitals would dedicate a few rooms for CF patients!

I know this is probably completely impossible, but a walk out balcony would be amazing- especially for longer hospital stays. For those of us that cannot leave our room because of bacteria we culture, it would be nice to be able to get a little fresh air or to escape hospital air for a moment! (overlooking the ocean would be even better, haha!!!!)
