Pool and Swim Diapers

Well, dd is now 1 1/2 and absolutely LOVES the water. Issue is that I am so worried about her swim diaper leaking while in the pool. I have to say that her stools are never the very firm and then add in the water and it is a recipe for disaster.
Does anyone have tips or tricks on how to prevent these diapers from leaking?

I worry about the same thing with my daughter, I bought her a two piece tankini so that it's easy to check her often. I haven't tried them, but there are also the bottoms that have a plastic lining. You could double up, a swimmer and one of those.

I always took my son after he had a big poop. Sophie doesn't matter as much as her stools are more firm. Also I just have a tiny kiddy pool at home for hot days.
