Ports and intimacy

This, my second port, is placed on my left side under my breast, but my bra doesn't effect it, only when it is accessed sometimes. I don't even realize it is there anymore unless I bump it. My fiance has a tatoo, I have a port - I see it as similar, something you don't even realize after awhile. When it is accessed, then I just have to be a little more careful, but that doesn't stop any intimacy, other than having to snuggle on his left side so I can lay on my right. I will soon be looking for dresses, and other than planning to do preemptive IVs before the wedding I don't feel the port will be in the way. I can't imagine having it up by my collarbone. or even in my boob- which I don't have much of any way.

I am also a 22F with CF. I jsut got my port placed in march of this year after have 6 piccs. I can speak from experience that having a port doesnt get in the way of being intimate at all like other people have said, unless it is accessed. Mine is above my right breast but a few inches below my collar bone. Mine sticks out a little bit because i've been through a major weight loss again from chronic pacnreatitis, but now gaining weight back with the help of a feeding tube, and have recently noticed, that my port isnt sticking out as much. Don't let a port stop you from being intimate, it doesnt get in the way.
