Hi there,
My husband and I currently live in Texas, grew up here, had 5 years in Colorado. Now it looks like he might have an opportunity in NJ.
Pros: This possiblity would get us pretty much debt free and his new salary would cover what I currently make. I could stay home with DD. His insurance is good too.
Cons: The job could last a year or it could go forever. I have to leave my completely secure job and insurance (I'm a teacher, my position might change, but I will always have a position..I just might not like it). State tax <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> and the biggie ALL family and friend support is in Texas and Colorado. We would be completely be on our own. My family and friends have been such a support since the diagnosis of DD. We have no one in NJ.
Basically, what would ya'll do in this situation? I mean to be debt free would be a dream, but does the security of one of us always having a job and insurance outweigh this. I'm not going to lie, I've been pretty sheltered and not very adventurous. I would love to hear ALL opinions, whether I like them or not.
For those of you in NJ, how do you like it? How are the CF centers there? What made you move there?
Any info would be great...
