Possible move to New Jersey

Hi there,

My husband and I currently live in Texas, grew up here, had 5 years in Colorado. Now it looks like he might have an opportunity in NJ.

Pros: This possiblity would get us pretty much debt free and his new salary would cover what I currently make. I could stay home with DD. His insurance is good too.

Cons: The job could last a year or it could go forever. I have to leave my completely secure job and insurance (I'm a teacher, my position might change, but I will always have a position..I just might not like it). State tax <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> and the biggie ALL family and friend support is in Texas and Colorado. We would be completely be on our own. My family and friends have been such a support since the diagnosis of DD. We have no one in NJ.

Basically, what would ya'll do in this situation? I mean to be debt free would be a dream, but does the security of one of us always having a job and insurance outweigh this. I'm not going to lie, I've been pretty sheltered and not very adventurous. I would love to hear ALL opinions, whether I like them or not.

For those of you in NJ, how do you like it? How are the CF centers there? What made you move there?

Any info would be great...

I just moved from NJ where I grew up my whole life close to a year and half ago,

NJ is very, very expensive as far as housing, property tax etc.. I am a Registered Nurse and could barely make it on my salary

As far as CF care centers, you have a lot of options.. I went to Morristown Memorial Hospital where I was seen by Dr Stanely Fiel and Paula Lomas the nurse...

If you google either one of them you will see how amazing they are.. They have done a wonderful, wonderful job with me and with all their patients....They are very available to you all the time and they have many, many years experience...

If you have any other questions please let me know...

Dr. Tom Scanlin at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick is phenomenal. He was the head of CHOP's center in Philadelphia for many years.
