I really can't fathom what's going on here. Stop bashing each other. Have some damn respect for each other. You're making immature fools of yourselves. If someone can explain to me what they hope the outcome of this discussion will be and how it can positively effect anyone when it's done, then please go ahead. If you can't, then don't waste life bickering about this menial bull.

It's not neccasery to do it on a post when someone is depressed and seeking encouragement.

Mockingbird, are you depressed and looking for encouragement? I thought you were just trying to show that poverty can be worse than CF. Well, I encourage you. (Manhugs.)

ha ha, insult everyone more. That's done a bang up job of stopping things so far. =-)

If you're gonna list ailments that we get, please don't make up rubbish about drowing in blood. There is no way you'd live long enough to drown in blood unless you underwent a operation. Your lungs would pack out long before then.

To the Anonymous poster that wrote this:
I nearly did drown in my own blood so please don't state "facts" that you don't have. It is really annoying and does no service to anyone. Do I like to dwell on the topic no I don't but it is real and by making it less than what it is very disrespectful and naiive. I am not saying that I always make Lemonade either but I do try to stay positive because the moment I give into the negative I feel like I am losing the battle.

id also like to say that it is a fact that its possible to drown in your own blood. its quite easy when severe hemoptysis is left untreated. its amazing how little some cf patients really know about their disease. ive come across complete strangers who are more cluely from reading a textbook on it. knowledge is power. living in fairlyland will only get you so far.

many a people with CF or other lung diseases have drown in their own blood, just look up some of the medical cases. If you are going to tear someone apart, you ought to get your own facts straight first. I too find it amazing that some with CF (SOME not all) are so clueless about THEIR disease, granted, medicine is complicated and CF isn't an easy disease on any level, but still, that's the basics.

"Now, are you trying to tell me that what Winace is in anyway encouraging? In fact, has he ever encouraged anyone with anything, besides hoping that it all ends quickly?"

That's Bull****! It is often hard to read some his posts about the reality of CF and they do tend to be depressing, but he is brutally honest. Sometimes we all need a reality check---I personally like to be blissfully ignorant about my son's future when it comes to potential CF complications, but a good emotional slap in the face can be theraputic and make us appreciate life and our loved ones even more. The love he and Jessica share is very encouraging and beautiful and he has many times proved how powerful love can be.
